Donations and impact
The Mental Health Hub For Men (MHHM), hubformen.com, relies on donations to fund programs in mental health, suicide prevention, and other men’s health priorities.
Core Services MHHM Provides
Psychoeducation and skills programs: Structured group sessions that teach men practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and trauma.
Peer support and men’s groups: Regular small-group circles where men can safely discuss emotions, relationships, and life challenges.
Coaching and focused support: One‑on‑one or small‑group coaching for issues like time management, focus, and life transitions, including ADD/ADHD.
Digital content and self‑help tools: Articles, videos, webinars, and checklists tailored to men’s lived experience, which provide self‑screeners, stories, and practical coping tools.
Faith-integrated mental health sessions and family resilience workshops that connect emotional wellness with spiritual resources and healthier family communication.
Training for community leaders (barbers, pastors, coaches, youth workers) on how to recognize distress, respond safely, and create emotionally safe spaces for men and boys.
How donations impact the organization
Direct program delivery: Donations help fund facilitators, clinicians, coaches, and program staff, allowing MHHM to run low‑cost or free groups, workshops, and digital programs for men who might otherwise not access care.
Access and equity: Giving supports outreach in underserved neighborhoods in the U.S. and Uganda, covers data or tech for virtual groups, and enables translation or adaptation of materials so more men and boys can participate regardless of income or location.
Evidence‑informed innovation: Donations allow MHHM to design, pilot, and evaluate new men‑centered interventions (including ADD/ADHD programs), invests in testing and scaling promising models in mental health and suicide prevention.
Community infrastructure: Contributions support the digital platform, secure data systems, and communications needed to host groups, deliver online content, and maintain a trusted men’s mental health hub.
How donations impact the boys and men MHHM serves
Improved mental health and functioning: Men gain practical skills to manage mood, stress, and attention, which can reduce distress and improve work, relationships, and family life—outcomes that align with the improvements reported by men that have gone through our programs.
Reduced isolation and stigma: Group programs and community spaces decrease loneliness and normalize help‑seeking behavior among boys & men, with a strong emphasis on connection and open conversations about mental health and suicide.
Earlier support, fewer crises: By funding prevention, peer support, and skills-building, donations reduce the likelihood that stress or trauma escalates into crisis, aligning with best practices in community-based mental health.
Stronger families and communities: As men build healthier coping strategies and communication skills, families benefit from more emotionally present partners and fathers, which is a key downstream impact that we track. Investments in MHHM strengthen family communication, faith and community connections, and local leadership—key ingredients in community healing and resilience after trauma or chronic stress.
In simple terms, donations keep safe spaces open, put trained peers in the room, and put concrete tools in the hands of men and boys—turning generosity into real-time support, hope, and measurable change in their lives.
